Attracting the wrong kind of people...
If you're in a group and a point of view attracts people to the group that are really bad for the group, you shouldn't stick to that point. For example, you say that the world is overpopulated and they are breeding us like cattle, maybe you mean nothing wrong with that, maybe you are even right... But do you want to team up with Bill Gates, a white supremist who will agree with you on that point? like I said, if a certain point of view within a group attracts the wrong kind of people, that point doesn't benefit the group at all. So you have to let it go, or you will destroy your own group.
